Crescent Nebula NGC6888

Imaging Date: September 26, 2023

Observation Site: Fredericksburg, TX

Telescope: Vaonis Vespera

Filter: Vespera Dual Band

Integration Time: 323x10 sec

Notes: The Crescent Nebula is a planetary nebula, a cosmic bubble blown by a star in the constellation Cygnus. Clouds moved in before we finished imaging, so we were not able to get adequate integration time.

Witch's Broom Nebula NGC6960

Vespera Dual Band

Integration Time: 324x10 sec

Notes: Also known as the Western Veil Nebula, the Witch's Broom is a supernova remnant. The bright star, 52 Cygni, appears to ride the nebula.

Notes:Barred spiral galaxy. It is the nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way.
